My J-pop Intervention at Concord Pavilion

I think you gave a very valiant effort!! I wouldn't even know how to begin such a transformation of a friend! Especially when their music taste is quite on the other side of the spectrum. Ah poor Kanami!...does she really give off that vibe?! :O I'm actually not familiar with The Possible except for one performance by them which was actually really good. I'm just afraid to add on any more idol groups right now as it's growing in expense at an alarming rate now days! :P Hmm....maybe one day he'll "secretly" fall for them...you never know although it does sound unlikely at this point!
Chris, I'm a punk rocker and you probably know of my affection for J-Pop already. ;)

I've seen Iron Maiden once too (Brave New World tour when Bruce D. and Adrian Smith returned to the band), but as good as that show was, it doesn't compare to seeing the Stooges last April, and only a MoMusu concert could equal the Stooges one in my mind.
I really think you could've picked better music examples.
I actually know someone who went to that exact concert. That's awkward.

Chaosakita,

as far as the Maiden clip I agree. But I wanted to find an actual Concord clip that was watchable and not too long. My three favorite songs of the show were Number of the Beast, which I couldve posted, Rime of the Ancient Mariner (which is almost 10 minutes long) and "Iron Maiden" (8 minutes) In fact, when they played Iron Maiden, I remarked to Dan "Can you believe this song is 30 years old?"

But with AKB48, I'm just in love with that song right now. Thanks for the comment! :)

Midori, it would've been even more awkward if we were sitting next to one another. Kind of like Japan Nite, where I know a few of the guys from the YODC blog were there, and I probably saw them since there weren't too many people at that show!

I definitely know how much of a punk rocker you are. It's one of the things I like about your blog. We are the same age and have similar musical tastes. Although I was more Metal first and Punk second. The only punk concert I saw in the heyday was "X", but I also loved The Vandals and The Adolescents. And I went to school with the guys from Youth Brigade and NoFX. I would love to see The Stooges, Iggy is awesome!
