Hello! Project 2008 Winter ~Kettei! Haro☆Pro Award '08~

No doubt I'm right there with you on the box shot; as I recall I didn't shed my outer shirt until later, so that's pretty much it, and that security guy had his eyes on us most of the show.

Still not sure whether I'm in behind Nocchi midway through "Bell," the expanded Gatas single, but the business guy with the pink-lighted five-finger glove is right there (as I view the YouTube version), as is the tall dude who kept trying to hit me on the backswing of his blue glowstick. But I won't know for sure until my DVDs come in next week.

For sure we're in there a lot because of our location, closer to the middle walkway than the far-right launch pad, and closer to the stage than the opposite launch pad.

The other good look is the DohhhUp! clip of "All for One" (A great, great song by the way), where we are definitely there at about 3:15 with C-ute facing us first, then Berryz away from us. The very first millisecond of the C-ute shot shows what I believe to be you and your outstretched arms, and I'm just to your right, hopping around as was my tendency throughout the night. The shot of Berryz on the walkway clearly shows our area at the back rear, and only an enhanced, plasma-screen view of this (plus computer-detailed screencaps) will reveal our indviidual locations..

Damn, it's like studying JFK's Zapruder film frame-by-frame!

Bottom line is that it was a hell of a show, something I'll never forget. The lesson here is that the floor is the only place to be, during the third and final show of the two days, to get a real shot at getting on the DVD. As for making the inside cover photo, holy crap! What are the odds of that happening?

Hey, see if your pal can get another ticket for Janaury 2009, so I can make my plane reservations again (if the exchange rate doesn't go through the floor!). As Gov. Terminator would say: "I'll be back!"

Wow you did a review really fast... I just finished watching this show (bad me downloaded it BUT I am goin to guy it in the future) so reading a review immediatelly after it was great.

You know... Since I commented in one of your "retro reviews" I've started to love Ayaya more and more! I watched GAM's concert and that did it for me. Her interction with the crowd is unbelievable! I guess it's partly because she doesn't have to follow the coreographies so intensively and that's a great thing, whoever decided to allow her do that is brilliant. She indeed is professional and seems really mature for her age! When I think of Aichan and Ayaya, being the same age, the difference is so huge even though Aichan is also incredibly talented. Ayaya is really born to be on stage!

I liked the Egg's LOVE Machine too. It was great that they had some solo lines too! I'm starting to believe that they will finally really be given something to do. Ongaku Gatas and Manoeri's graduation are of course giving me alot of hope and also the recent announcement of Milky Way! I hope they keep up with this trend!

I actually think there's much more lip-synching than normally! I could only be imagining but it really seems that way.

It's funny that you don't like Iki wo Kasanemashou! It's my favourite Nacchi song (The Stress is another) and I almost started crying when I was watching this performance. If I would have been there I certainly would have. :)

ALL FOR ONE & ONE FOR ALL was a bit painful for me too, to see Yossy and Rika there without Aibon and Nono... It made me quite sad when I saw the DohhhUp! clip for the first time. But well, at least Nono could come back, theoretically speaking.

I wanna go to a H!P concert too...

Thanks Andra. Every week that goes by that I don't do a Retro Review of Ayaya, I think of you. I was thinking of doing a compare/contrast of the latest DVD and 1st live date, but the new one has been on backorder (although I think they shipped it so I should get it any day now)

As much as I love Nacchi, I've never been a huge fan of her solo songs, but it's more a matter of my taste than whether or not it's good, as I prefer "rock-y and pop-y" stuff. The one song of hers that I love is Koi no Telephone Goal. I am very selective of the softer song, although I loved Ai Ai Daiko!

The lip-synching aspect of the shows is one reason why I seriously considered going to Wonderful Hearts and Elders Club instead as they seem to lip-synch less at those shows. The main reason I didn't was because those shows were in Tokyo on New Years' weekend.
