A Quick Post on Anime Expo in Los Angeles

I am currently in Los Angeles for Anime Expo and Morning Musume, which happened today. Needless to say today's experience was awesome! However I am staying at a friends house and currently borrowing her PC, so I can't upload any pics. So this will be brief.

Let me just say the concert was great! Morning Musume did an awesome job from top to bottom. And you could tell they were so excited to be here, especially evidenced by Sayumi telling the audience (in English) "performing in LA is like a dream!" In fact, all of the girls did an intro in English, then finished their intros in Japanese. It was absolutely adorable. LinLin's English seems almost perfect, and Aichan is very good too. Mittsi kept her intro brief, as did Reina. My guess is they weren't as comfortable. But they all gave it their best shot. And they all gave 100% on every song. By the way, the opening VTR was the same one from the P9D tour. So you will see that on the DVD when it comes out this month. I loved that VTR!

I was in the 1st row, but to the right of the stage. So I was watching MM from the side. But the girls came over there all the time. Since I was in the "Press" section, most of the people there were standing still. So I stood out in the section with my Reina shirt and six blue glowsticks. So I got quite a few waves, mainly from Ai, Sayumi and Aika. JunJun and Eri came ofer toward me a couple of times too. That was great!

Having Tsunku and Yossie (Hangry) come out later was an amazing treat too. The three videos chosen in the OPV contest were all well deserved. But I thought Tsunku's pick was the best!

And I did manage to meet Hangry (Yossie) and get her autograph. Yatta!!!

There is so much more to tell. All of the awesome people I have had the pleasure of meeting this weekend. That is the "true" highlight for me. There is tons more to tell, but I will sum it up when I get home Sunday night.

And I am going back tomorrow for more fun. So there will be more to share!
